2. How Does No Grow Work?

No Grow Hair Removal System is a topically applied hair removal cream with a difference. No Grow is an easy to use wipe-on-wipe-off cream.

Unlike most hair removal creams which focuses on the temporary removal of surface hair, is absorbed into the hair follicle and reacts with the matrix bulb of the hair root – the place where hair growth starts – to neutralise the hair root and stop hair growth permanently, when the product is applied correctly, on a weekly basis until the hair growth cycle has been completed (between 7 – 8 months depending on the individual consumers genetics).

It destroys the hair follicle, thus stopping the follicle from producing further hairs. It creates the same results as laser hair removal but by a completely different scientific route.

Each product in the No Grow range is specifically formulated to target certain types of male and female facial and body hair and give you smooth, totally hairless skin.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS ARE PULLED INTO THE HAIR SHAFT, TO THE MATRIX BULB

To allow passage of the active ingredient Isoquinolinium Bromide to penetrate down to the matrix bulb of the hair root, No Grow dissolves hair below the surface of the skin and “pulls” the active ingredients down the hair shaft to the hair matrix bulb – the place where hair growth starts – and in this case – stops. Because of its low molecular weight, it is able to penetrate deep inside the hair shaft.

Every time you use the cream less and less hair will grow back un at the end of the cycle you should have achieved 99.5% hair reduction.

4. The Application Of No Grow

TEST PATCH

24-hours prior to your full application, complete a test patch. Apply some of the product onto your skin near to where you plan to apply No Grow.

Your skin must be dry and clean.

APPLICATION

Make sure that the area you are treating is clear of any surface oils, creams, lotion and serums to allow optimum penetration of the active ingredients.
After No Grow has been applied and left for the desired time period, remove the product with either the scraper provided in the box or a soft dry cloth/towel. Wash with soap and water to neutralize and ensure all of the product is thoroughly removed from the skin.
DO NOT to apply any creams, serums or lotions containing actives like Vitamin A and Vitamin C after application.
If you feel the necessity to shave after application, we suggest that you apply the No Grow Product in the evening, and that you shave the next morning.

NEVER leave No Grow on your skin for longer than the recommended time. It only takes 5-minutes for the active ingredients to do their part, and travel to the root of the hair, via the hair shaft. Less is more, always respect your skin response.

6. The Science Around No Grow

Growth Inhibitor ingredient, Lauryl Isoquinolinium Bromide, bio-engineers the matrix bulb to neutralize hair roots to stop hair growing.

It has taken researchers, years to develop the technology which enables No Grow to modify the growing behaviour of hair roots, resulting, for the first time, in a long-term termination of hair growth.

Through the hair growth cycle, hairs grow longer and new follicles develop at the root of the hair, due to cell division.

By bio-engineering the cells in the matrix bulb of the hair root to replicate the cell activity found at the onset of male pattern baldness, scientists have succeeded in halting hair growth.

By introducing new genetic instructions to the matrix, the follicle is programmed to eradicate (destroy) the hair root and stop further growth activity.

Through Nano-Enhanced Transportation Technology, No Grow is able to be delivered to the hair root and due to this unique process No Grow has changed the beauty industry.

NANO-ENHANCED TRANSPORTATION TECHNOLOGY

This technology is used to manipulate the molecular structure of the active ingredients, breaking it down so fine that it is able to penetrate into the desired area for a period of 8 hours with the aid of TLR (time controlled release).

THE MATRIX BULB OF THE HAIR ROOT IS THE PLACE WHERE HAIR GROWTH STARTS AND ENDS. NO GROW MODIFIES THE MATRIX TO STOP HAIR GROWTH

These hair growth cells from the matrix bulb of hair root are seen as spheres of cultured papillae cells from human hair follicles. When Lauryl Isoquinolinium Bromide is introduced, cell division is slowed down, shrinking and individually withering the root, until there is no more space for cell division i.e. no new hair follicle, similar to the effect of the onset of male pattern baldness.

No Grow replicates the effects of laser hair removal but it achieves its goals by a very different scientific method.

For the first-time researchers have been able to take human dermal papilla cells from inside the base of human hair follicles and recreate cell structure found in patients with male pattern baldness. Lauryl Isoquinolinium Bromide replicates these cells which stifles new hair growth.

The breakthrough came with the development of Lauryl Isoquinolinium Bromide compound which modifies the growing behaviour of hair roots, resulting, for the first time, in a long-term termination of hair growth.

For the first time a product is available which modifies the growth activity of the hair root, but without damaging the skin or causing pain to the patient.

No Grow was one of the first to develop ‘nutrient engineering’ techniques which restrict the flow of nutrients to the matrix hair bulb. This results in the miniaturization of the hair root and ultimately restricts the growth of new hair.

7. No Grow Study

OBSERVATIONAL STUDY OF NO GROW HAIR REMOVAL CREAM

METHOD
A total of 68 participants, 46 female and 22 males between the ages of 23 and 67 years, completed the study. Six participants did not complete the study for personal scheduling reasons. Participants were randomly split into two groups. Half were given No Grow and half were given placebo consisting of moisturizing creams. This was applied at weekly intervals for four weeks on the same day over a study period of 90 days.

RESULTS
Participants returned every week for measurement and evaluation. The following significant differences could be observed between No Grow treated areas and the placebo treated areas of the skin. An overall decrease in hair density on areas with No Grow of +/- 25% every week was measured using Cross-Section Trichometer over one scare centimeter of skin x 100 (mm2/cm2 x 100). Participants also noted a reduction in hair thickness during the study.

CONCLUSION
At the conclusion of the 30 day study an overall decrease in hair density on No Grow treated areas was +/- 93% measured using a Cross-Section Trichometer. No Grow has been shown to be a safe and effective method for progressively reducing hair root growth.

8. The Do's And Don'ts Of No Grow

DO ensure that your skin is clean, dry and free from surface oil and creams, lotions or serums, before applying No Grow.
DO a small test patch before applying No Grow if you have sensitive skin and check the results to see if there is any adverse reaction.
DO apply a visible amount of No Grow on to the surface of the skin. Do not rub it in as if were a lotion.
DO apply No Grow to skin which has short hair growth of 1mm to 2mm, this is so that the active ingredients can adhere to the hair shaft and neutralize the root. Shorten hair that is long to reduce wastage.

DO wait for 7 days before your next application of No Grow. Hairs in the Anagen growth phase will continue to grow and so require further treatment.

DO use No Grow on your private parts but ensure the cream does not come into contact with sensitive membrane areas.

DON‘T shave, wax or remove hair (waxing removes the first layer of your skin, thus making the skin extra sensitive). Applying No Grow Remover after a wax could cause contact dermatitis or sensitive skin.

DON‘T rub the cream into your skin. Spread evenly using your finger. The spatula provided in the box is ideal for removing the product after use.

DON‘T touch your hair, lashes or eyebrows while you are using No Grow, as this could inhibit hair growth in other unwanted areas.

DON‘T leave on your skin for more than 10 minutes on your face and 20 minutes on your body.

DON‘T use Hair Free if you have a skin rash, or on irritated, sunburned, inflamed or broken skin.

WHAT IS NO GROW?

No Grow is a scientifically developed permanent hair removal system that treats the root to reduce and eventually stop hair growth.

HOW DOES NO GROW WORK?

NO Grow reacts with the matrix bulb at the base of the hair follicle. The effect is like replicating the process of male pattern baldness. NO Grow reduces the concentration of nutrients at the base of the follicle – the place where hair growth starts. This causes miniaturization of the root so that the hair becomes progressively thinner and softer. With continual use, the hair ceases to grow and the result is smooth, hair-free skin.

When the product is applied correctly, on a weekly basis, until the 3-phase hair growth cycle has been completed (approximately 8 months) you will achieve permanent hair removal.

DOES NO GROW REMOVE SURFACE HAIR?

The product does contain an ingredient which dissolves the surface hair, however, this is not the primary function of the product. Don’t be alarmed if after an application, there are remaining hairs. Isoquinolinium Bromide, the active ingredient, has already penetrated through the surface hair to the 2nd and 3rd hair, starving the follicle of nourishment, this is what gives the permanent results.

Shave, pluck etc 24-hours post treatment if required. If waxing is your preferred hair removal method, please ensure you wait for at least 7-days pre or post-wax before applying No Grow (waxing removes the first layer of your skin, thus making the skin extra sensitive). Applying NO Grow after a wax could cause contact dermatitis or sensitive skin.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED BEFORE THE HAIR GROWTH STOPS COMPLETELY AND PERMANENT RESULTS ARE ACHIEVED?

To achieve permanent results you need to apply the cream weekly for 8-months to ensure you cover all 3-growth phases of the hair growth cycle.

IS THERE A WAY TO ACHIEVE QUICKER RESULTS?

Unfortunately, there is no way to obtain quicker results. The treatment length is based on the 3-growth phases of the hair cycle that No Grow has to target, this is generally 8-months.

HOW LONG BEFORE MY HAIR STARTS TO GROW BACK AFTER EVERY APPLICATION?

Growth of new hair is reduced every time you use NO Grow. You should notice reduction and density of hairs on the skin after approximately the fourth application. Hair grows back thinner and slower each time. Continue with your weekly applications no matter what your hair growth is doing.

IS NO GROW SUITABLE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES?

Yes, it is suitable for all skin types. In some cases, it is normal to experience redness or a slight rash on completion of the application. This is perfectly normal and no cause for alarm. No Grow has created stimulation in the treatment area and it is an inflammatory response. These effects will disappear within half an hour.

Burning or stinging is not normal, ensure you remove immediately if this occurs. Always respect your skin response.

Do not use No Grow on medical skin conditions like Psoriasis, Contact Dermatitis, Impetigo, Skin Cancer, Eczema, or Rosacea.

IS THERE ANY SKIN SENSATION WHEN NO GROW IS APPLIED?

It is normal for the skin to tingle when the product is applied. Burning or stinging is not normal, ensure you remove immediately if this occurs.

Always respect your skin response.

I HAVE VERY SENSITIVE SKIN, CAN I STILL USE NO GROW?

No Grow is a gentle product and should not cause irritation unless you have an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients. Customers who have naturally sensitive skin are recommended to gradually introduce No Grow to their skin by starting off slow with shorter treatment times. Start at 3-minutes and gradually increase the treatment time weekly until you find your perfect time.

Never leave No Grow on your face for more than 10 minutes and 20 minutes on your body. It takes No Grow 5-minutes to activate the hair follicle, therefore long extended treatment times are not required.

It is strongly recommended to use our Soothing Aftercare Gel even if you don't naturally have sensitive skin (anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory properties).

DOES NO GROW PENETRATE THE SKIN?

NO Grow does penetrate the skin (epidermis) but is not absorbed systemically (into the bloodstream).

I DID NOT PURCHASE YOUR SOOTHING AFTERCARE GEL, WHAT ELSE CAN I USE TO SOOTH MY SKIN?

In rare cases you may feel a ‘tight’ sensation on your skin post treatment. We recommend our ‘Soothing Aftercare Gel’ as the first and foremost option, however, a natural Aloe Vera gel can also be used if necessary.

You may apply any cream, serums, make-up or shaving cream 30-minutes after application.

Do not apply any active ingredients like Vitamin C, AHA’s or Chemical Exfoliants for at least 24 hours after NO Grow application.

Vitamin A application, as well as Peel’s, Derma Pen treatments, laser, and the like, should only be done 7 days prior or post NO Grow application.

I AM CURRENTLY ON ROACCUTANE, CAN I USE NO GROW?

No Grow is not suitable for persons on scheduled medications like Roaccutane, Cortisone or any medication that can cause irritation or thinning of the skin. Application of NO Grow can commence 6-weeks after the final intake of the above mentioned medications but we do recommend you first check with your medical specialist.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE VARIANTS?

Each product has a varying amount of active ingredient that is aligned with the typical type of hair and skin sensitivity. Each variant is therefore formulated specifically for the area that is indicated. We do not recommend using the different variants on all parts of the body.

DOES NO GROW WORK ON ALL HAIR COLOURS?

NO Grow works on all kinds of hair, blond to black, blonde to grey, straight or curly, fine or course. No Grow will react with all colors and all types of hair.

DO YOU CONTINUE WITH YOUR USUAL HAIR REMOVAL METHOD WHILE USING NO GROW WEEKLY?

No Grow is a growth inhibitor treatment that you add to your current hair removal routine. In the beginning, we recommend treating your hair when it’s 1-2mm in length as this helps to eliminate wastage and also assists with the actual treatment. Over time your hair will grow back thinner and slower until it eventually stops altogether, forever!

Do not shave, wax, pluck or remove hair prior to application.

I AM 4-MONTHS INTO MY TREATMENT AND ALREADY NOTICING THAT MY HAIR IS EITHER GROWING BACK PATCHY OR VERY SLOWLY. DO I SLOW DOWN MY TREATMENTS TO WAIT FOR THE HAIR TO GROW?

No, application weekly is key to permanent results.As we never know which growth phase our hair is in, we need to remain consistent for 8-months to ensure all 3-growth phases are treated. Not all of the phases are seen with the naked eye, so weekly applications ensure they are all treated.If you do not treat your hair for the full 8-months there is a good chance your hair will start growing back.We are after long term results, which will require time. No Grow is not a quick fix and diligent weekly applications have the best results.

WHAT IF I MISS A WEEK OF USING NO GROW?

Results vary from person to person - being 2 or 3 days late may not have a measurable effect on your progress, however, extended periods with no treatment are likely to require additional treatments to complete the process. (Ultimately costing you more than it needed to).

CAN NO GROW BE USED ON TEENAGERS?

Yes, No Grow has been used successfully on teenagers under the guidance of their parent/guardian.

A small number of users may experience slight stinging and itching if the product is left on the skin for more than the instructed time period.

I HAVE HORMONAL FACIAL HAIR (LIKE A MALE BEARD), WHICH IS THE BEST PRODUCT FOR ME?

We recommend ladies with hormonal facial hair to start with the Female Facial variant and then slowly transition over to the Male Beard after about 3-months. The reason for this is that the Male Beard variant is the strongest cream out of the range with the most amount of active ingredient. MAY I USE MY USUAL FACIAL SKINCARE PRODUCTS AFTER APPLYING THIS PRODUCT?

Wait for at least half an hour before applying any cream, serums, make-up or shaving cream.

Do not apply any active ingredients like Vitamin C, AHA’s or Chemical Exfoliants for at least 24 hours after NO Grow application.

Yes, No Grow is safe to use over tattoos. The technology is pulled into the hair shaft to neutralize the hair bulb, therefore it does not affect pigment in the tattoo. We have many clients who have used No Grow over their tattoos.

CAN I USE FAKE TANNING PRODUCTS AT THE SAME TIME AS NO GROW?

No Grow is not recommended to be used over fake tan as it will remove the product from your skin.

I HAVE THICK DARK LEG HAIR, SHOULD I USE THE MALE BODY VERSION INSTEAD OF THE FEMALE BODY?

Unless your leg hair represents male leg hair we still suggest using the Female Body for your leg hairs. On average, male skin is approximately 20% thicker than female skin.

CAN NO GROW INTIMATE BE USED ON A FULL BRAZILIAN?

Yes, a Brazilian can be achieved but with extra caution. No Grow can be used on the vaginal lips and around your anus, but you must barrier your soft tissue and any mucus membranes with Vaseline and cotton wool/tissue.

No Grow must not be put on any soft tissue areas.

ARE THERE ANY SENSITIVE AREAS TO AVOID WHEN USING NO GROW INTIMATE BODY?

No Grow must not be put on nipples, or any soft tissue genital areas i.e. vagina membrane and anus.
